A&P License . . Do you really need one?

(Formally referred to as an A&P Certificate)

Mechanics today find themselves looking for a job within the aviation community, that can provide them with more than just a dollar or so increase in their per hour earnings. Something that also gives them the potential for rapid advancement in this professional field.

Most of these technicians are sincerely interested in a position that not only gives them that increase in pay, but also provides them with an opportunity to advance through the various levels of the industry, and to continue building their careers.

Scheduling an interview for employment with aviation firms has become increasingly difficult for the "Non-Licensed" mechanic over the past 8 - 10 years. When they are able to find work, the position generally does not offer the pay or the growth potential for the career building they were looking for.

The A&P License opens many doors of opportunity for aviation technicians. Yes, It does take some effort on the part of the mechanic to acquire one, but once obtained that "Licensed-Mechanic" will be recognized as a "Professional" throughout the industry.

It also bears mentioning that the "License / Certificate" itself, has no expiration date, and can serve a mechanic indefinitely, throughout their entire career in the aviation and aerospace industry, once obtained.

So, do you really need an A&P License? Well, if you plan to remain in the ability, as well as your advancement and earnings potential among these companies, the answer is a simple "Yes", you are going to need your A&P License!

That is obviously what we here at Shelle Aviation are about, the most direct, informative, live instruction from a "Licensed" AMT, using the most up-to-date methods currently available for Aviation Maintenance Technicians to acquire their "A&P License", and as our literature boasts,
