PRE-REQUISITES: FCC Courses

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) - All applicants must;
1. Be eligible for employment in the US.
2. Be able to transmit and receive spoken messages, in English.

We make the following additional recommendations, regarding technical experience:
Students should possess a solid background in the subject area for the license they seek, see below.

For the General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL);
Students should possess a background in aviation electronics, radio construction, repair, signal transmission, and communication, as well as FCC rules and regulations, to be successful in obtaining this license.

For the General Radiotelephone Operator License with Radar Endorsement (GROL+);
Students should possess an in depth background in aviation electronics, radio construction, repair, signal transmission, communication, FCC rules and regulations, as well as both land and ship based radar systems, design, construction, repair, and troubleshooting to be successful in obtaining this license.
