RESOURCES: Test Authorizations (FAA Only)
When you arrive at the testing center to take one of your FAA exams, you will need to provide the test administrator with your "Authorization to Test". Without this document from the FAA they will not be able to administer your test.
Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Parts 65.71 and 65.77 establish the minimum eligibility & experience requirements for individuals who wish to obtain any of the Mechanic Certificates/Licenses issued by the FAA. All applicants for these licenses must meet with an FAA Maintenance Inspector to obtain "Authorization to Test", (FAA form 8610-2). The inspector will determine whether or not to issue the authorization based on an applicant's experience.
Simply give us a call when you are ready, and we will provide you with the information you need to locate the office closest to you. There you should be able to contact and arrange to meet with a Maintenance Inspector for the purpose of obtaining your authorization to test.
